It's that time of year again
What did we get ourselves into?
I'm so glad the snow is gone. I'm so glad that it's getter warmer. But I'm not looking forward to the time and effort required to keep our came-with-the-house garden under control.
Hubby and I spent a number of hours this weekend clearing the garden of last year's growth and pulling up evil plants that like to take over our lawn. This is an act of service for me as I don't like dirt or bugs...and I was a little paranoid that I would find a mouse in the garden. I kept alert at all times, ready to run if I came upon such a critter.
I did discover one special surprise in the tree along the back fence line. A bird's nest. C and I will have to keep checking on it so that she can see the eggs and hopefully baby birds.

Yard work is so hard and time consuming. Some people just love it...me not so much.
I can just picture you down on the ground pulling weeds and finding a bug.. YOu would totally freak!!!
I think one year at convention I had to kill a spider or bug cause everyone was scared..
Hope you are having fun, may there be many adventures in your yard this summer...
Hee hee.
I just finished getting hubby to kill a spider in our bedroom.
LOL that is too funny.
I am the killer of the spiders and bugs in our house too. It makes me laugh cause I like to get out the shoe and bug spray and kill the bugs...
Finding the nest is well worth the hard work and bugs.
I am not a fan of yard work- not that I have much with a condo :-)
The idea of living on the land and planting flower gardens appeals to me but only if my husband does all the work, which apparently he doesn't mind- or so he thinks!
My vision of a dream backyard boasts a beach volley-ball pit, an inground pool, a big huge deck or patio surrounded with lots of trees......
