The Beach...Here We Come!

The last load of laundry is done, the bags are almost packed and the beach gear is waiting at the door. Tomorrow we are headed to the lake for an extended long weekend at my in-law's trailer. I'm looking forward to this time away as the last few weeks have been very busy. I've packed a couple of books (No Ordinary Child by Denise Mira and Making Children Mind, Without Losing Yours by Kevin Leman) that I plan to read, as well as a pad of paper to do some writing (we don't have a laptop). I am not sure how much time I will spend doing either of these as in addition to amusing our daughter, we also have a few family events planned for the weekend. Therefore, I will be quite pleased if I'm able to squeeze in reading a few chapters before we come home.
